Welcome / Bienvenu

This blog drags together, into one swirling maelstrom of crackling energy, my various wargames interests. There are links on the top right to my other blogs, each more calmly dedicated to one particular gaming universe.

I aim to post about once a week, and I have decided in 2026 to shift the focus of the blog from showing isolated painted figures, to taking photos of figures in action, a sort of mostly-photo AAR.

The pages at the top of the blog contain historical information on the periods that interest me. They are primarily an aid to my poor memory, and not meant to be in any way exhaustive, nor necessarily correct.

I hope this blog offers you much enjoyment and some inspiration !

AAR Highlights

Turn 1 :

-  A 47LL Russian AT Gun revealed itself on the upper (fortified) level of I6.  The PzIIIL had deployed in this sector; the first one was missed due to the short time spent in LOS before it settled into a blind spot; the second PzIIIL used the wall to remain hull down, and the third managed to sneak past and reach the gap between Hall 6a and the workshop.  The PzIIIL remaining in sight and hull down decided to concentrate on nearby Russian infantry, as poorly aimed AT shells continued to impact the wall.

-  The Russians obtained battery access despite the handicap of scarce ammunition, and dropped HE onto the Sturm company advancing through the wooden buildings forming the angle of Tramvanaya and Skulpturnaya.  The German offboard observer, having somehow failing battery access previously, now obtained it and dropped FFE onto the pre-registered fire hex in the F5 Workshop...only to see the incoming rounds completely miss their target, obtain maximum deviation, and drop onto the Sturm company already under Russian artillery fire !  Somebody was going to get a court-martial !
