It Figures: Figure List

This is a (long) list of all the figures I would like to paint, but don't have yet. You can refer to it if you want to offer me a birthday present ; )

I've divided it into three categories : Anthros, Fantasy Humans with a fair bit of exposed flesh ('cos I have a yearning at the moment to paint skin !) and Fantasy Humans with more kit on.

There are figures from Alkemy, Mierce, Dark Sword, Signum Games, Westfalia, Bombshell, Hasslefree, Freebooter, Warhammer, Corvus Belli, Raging Heroes, Reaper, Scibor and Shieldwolf.

I also like, but so far have everything I would like from Briskars and Oathsworn.

I've also put up a list of "Displates" I would like to add to the decoration of my wargames room.

Sci-Fi

Although Infinity is my typical go-to range for Sci Fi, there are a lot of other manufacturers out there making great figures, including some that adapt nicely to the grittier planets of the Five Parsecs setting.

The Infinity packaging on the Corvus Belli website doesn't suit me at all, so I am hoping that Philibert will retain stock for some time !

Al'Andalus 1166

This is a new project I am dwelling on, as often it is historical but with a strong fantasy theme. We are seriously thinking about moving to Spain at the end of the 2020s, specifically to Granada, and I thought it would be cool to combine research into local history with a wargames project. I'd set it around 1166, with adventurers from different faiths and cultures (Western Christian, Arab/Berber, Jewish, Gitanes,...) backed up by angels (I soooo want to paint angels), working together to protect arcane treasures from across the ages from some evil threat (I soooo want to paint demons). I'm thinking of Granada's Alhambra being deliberately enlarged - with the secret collaboration of otherwise rival cultures - to specifically house and protect these powerful treasures.

This will give me a chance to delve into the history of both medieval Al'Andalus, its more ancient times (Visigothic, Roman, Greek, Celtic, Prehistorical), and that of its close neighbours, in particular Occitan and its Cathar movement, and actually go and visit the places I'm planning to game over.

Dark Sword offers a vast catalogue of beautiful Western Medieval figures; and a good few of their Elf / Dark Elf figures (as long as the pointy ears aren't showing), or midriff-exposing ladies reflect Arab imagery. They also have a gorgeous collection of Angels.

Signum Games have a "Caliphate" range that is surely going to grow, they have some most excellent Djinns, and also offer a lot of unusual Western Medieval type figures.

Reaper have many Western Medieval figures too, especially with a religious bent; and they also have a quite extensive range of Arab-inspired figures, which can be hunted down by using search words such as "turban", "scimitar", "tulwar", or "genie" and going from there.

Scibor have an entire range of medieval humans, including some very interesting religious types, and some knights in interesting poses.

Shieldwolf also have a growing range, with their Araves.

Crooked Dice have their beautiful Black Widow and her minions (which, like all packs, can be bought individually); a cool-looking Djinn and an even better looking Siren; Kali Cultist 1B; Scheherazade; Sinbad; the Vizier of Morabia; the Robin Hood Villains; the Jester in Townsfolk 2; many of these can be ordered through Philibert

Brother Vinni has some interesting figures (no, not those....)
